Physiotherapy focuses on using movement to rehabilitate and strengthen the body in order to improve physical well-being following disease or injury. By uniting exercise, manual hands-on therapy and specially adapted tools, therapists can focus on highly targeted treatments that deliver long lasting results. Physiotherapy can look quite different for each patient, and at our clinic every session is unique. We offer 30 minutes of one-on-one treatment time at each visit, which allows the physiotherapist to design and implement a specific treatment plan tailored to each individual patient’s needs. Some common elements of a physiotherapy treatment plan include exercise programs which improve flexibility and strengthen muscles, soft tissue massage, joint manipulation and specialist treatments including hydrotherapy and electrotherapy. Physiotherapy often also involves the recommendation of exercises that can be done regularly in the patient’s home, to improve the curative strength of the therapy.

Acupuncture involves using fine, sterile needles to penetrate the surface of the skin in order to affect the flow of energy and encourage a healing response for pain and a broad range of conditions. Unlike many other treatments on offer at our clinic, acupuncture does not involve any manipulation of muscles or joints. Highly trained therapists, specializing in this technique, insert needles at specific points either around the painful area or at other locations on the body. Each needle performs a role in the overall treatment, there are hundreds of recognized places to insert needles around the body, each patient’s treatment is totally unique.

I was first introduced to the field of chiropractic as a young tennis athlete with a hip injury. After having exhausted almost all treatment options over a period of two years, I was finally introduced to a Chiropractor who ultimately provided the only effective treatment. This experience inspired me to pursue it as a career, hoping to provide that same support to future patients.

I completed my Doctorate of Chiropractic and Master’s of Sports Medicine at the University of Western States, graduating from both with honours. I also hold a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from the University of Alberta and after working in Fort McMurray for 5 years obtained my Professional Engineer designation.

Evidence based medicine is incorporated into my daily practice, and I am devoted to treating every patient like an elite athlete. Determining the root cause of a problem is key to long term success, not just symptom management. I’m certified in Active Release Technique (A.R.T.), IMS/Dry Needling and have additional training in Graston, COX Flexion Distraction, and K-Tape methods.

When not at the clinic, you’ll find me playing tennis or squash, on the ice rink playing hockey, listening to music, or exploring the Rocky Mountains.
